(starting kratom powder) : ( finished extract ) = ratio
(number) (times) = the strength
So our 20:1 resin is 100%, 20 grams of powder to 1 final gram of resin/extract. We use 200 proof ethanol to extract everything from the leaf, as well as a 20 ton press of the plant material. So once the ethanol is removed through vacuum and little heat you get a true 20:1. That is why it is so oily and sticky. Everything is pulled from the leaf.
The 60:1 we purchase pre made from Indonesia. It comes labeled as 60:1 however water and diluted ethanol are used for the extraction. The water will not extract the plant oils and fats.( oil and water don't mix ) The yield will then weigh less once the water is evaporated. However the ratio's are supposed to be for starting material to finished material.
By far the 20:1 resin/extract will be more concentrated. The lab tested on current batch is showing 0.74, 7-Hydroxymitragynine regular leaf tests out around 0.009 to 0.03 depending on the lab used. If you do 0.03 x 20 = 0.6 so in that sense it is around 15 to 20X on that alkaloid.
Looking at the labs we get from the Indonesia 60:1 extract it is around 5X. Last lab report of 60:1 was 0.057, 7-HO. If you do 0.01 x 5 = 0.05 so it is approximately a 5X.
